Killer of Culture

There is no hero coming.

The world is painted in degrees of villainy; saviors are those who have fewer stains on their soul and try, before their end, to save people deeper into the mire.

Is there a white knight?  Is there a God?   What would you prefer?  A man with no ability to chose (because white requires never a turn away from the bleach), or a deity who demands so much from you and yet left on his own accord before it got into the truly difficult path of real life.  It’s easy to die a martyr, because you can die for your cause and live in memory eternally flawless.

For whom does the common man die?  For whom does he sacrifice?  Is there nobility in the beggar?  Pride in the secretary?  Humility in the congressman?  Are these not traits of your knight?  Of your God?  Of your hero?

I propose a simple thing:  We are all Gods of our own religions, heroes of our own lives.  There is no golden rule of humanity that links us other h-u-m-a-n-i-t-y.

You have the choice ahead of you.  You know the correct path.  It’s the one less taken.  Lace your shoes.  Gird your loins.  And walk the path you always knew was the right choice.  There is no hero coming.

You are already here.

    Yes, indeed it is.

Weighty post, Mister D, but admirable also.

Sjoe! What brought on that sudden rise to personal anarchy? It’s new. Almost. . . as though you’re renewing faith in something; steeling against something. What happened, I wonder? What myriad of events started this carpe diem?

    energy transcends humanity.

  4. So very many times I have said that no one is coming–one has to save one’s own self.
